Earth Ele?
Anyone know a good way to counter an earth ele with Stone Flesh Aura, and all the damage changed to earth?

You are fighting terra tank eles in Random Arenas or Alliance Battles.
http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Build:E/Me_Terra_Tank That is the basic skills they are using (they probablly have stone daggers and glyph of restoration as discussed by the varients section). Interupts, degen (hexes or conidtions), enchantment removal. |

Anything that makes their healing/armor useless. Lifestealing, direct damage, armor ignoring damage.

Some might bring Sliver Armour... Wild Blow's just for the guarenteed hit to proc Grenth everytime. Crits with a scythe are fun too...
Anyho, Earth eles are pretty easy with a few basics. -Interruption/Daze - specifically Stoneflesh... they drop swiftly after that. -Mass enchantment removal. Pain of Disenchantment + Rend Enchants makes them cry. -Degen and other armour ignoring damage - notably lifesteal. Or... My favourite... --IGNORE THE SCRUBS COMPLETELY. Their damage sucks, and unless your team is a bunch of morons (zomg nuker!!!!!11!!! KILL!!!!!!) they pose absolutely no threat whatsoever. |

The reference to Wild Blow is probably related to the build's use of Mantra of Earth, which is a stance.
Stoneflesh Aura has a two second cast time (not factoring in any weapon/item bonuses), so there's an opportunity to interrupt it (or score a knockdown). If you don't, most of the other non-mesmer professions have some form of enchantment removal that has multiple uses in a PvP setting (I don't think there is a Warrior skill for enchantment removal). Both Stoneflesh Aura and Stone Striker are enchantments. Another non-mesmer option not mentioned thus far is Spiteful Spirit or Soul Leech (which I've never really seen anyone use, but I'm going to throw it out there anyway), which will do armor-ignoring damage (or in the case of Soul Leech, life stealing). |
